Sky Steele is a registered clinical psychologist. She has been working with children, adolescents and adults for almost 20 years to help them understand, manage and improve their mental health and create a more meaningful life. Sky currently works with adults and provides supervision and mentoring to other health professionals. 

Sky has been working in private practice for 10 years and currently owns Uniquely You Psychology in Warilla and Albion Park. She enjoys supporting other private practitioners to create their own private practice in the service of clients. Sky is also a Board approved supervisor and provides supervision for students on placement, provisional psychologists, psychologists and other health practitioners. 

Sky is a mum of three boys and one girl; aged 13, 11, 9 and 8. Her second oldest has a diagnosis of Autism and ADHD. She has been with her husband since high school and despite their ups and downs describes three keys to a healthy relationship; communication, willingness to move through each season together and acceptance of the other person. Sky herself has suffered from anxiety, panic symptoms and ADHD since childhood. Sky’s belief is that a more meaningful life starts with you, Uniquely you.

Elizabeth is a psychotherapist with 7 years experience working with children, adolescents and adults. Believing clients are the expert of their inner world, her approach is collaborative. In a supportive and nurturing environment, she guides clients to gain increased self-awareness, to connect back into their inner wisdom, develop mental strength, and to design a life that best supports them.

Elizabeth has an eclectic way of working, drawing upon diverse theories from attachment, psychodynamic, focusing oriented, ACT and narrative therapies. She will also draw upon her experience in music (pianist) and art (BVA) to give expression to that which has no verbal language.

Bethany (she/her) is dedicated to providing a friendly and accepting space where clients feel comfortable exploring their difficulties, with the understanding that everyone is doing the best they can with the tools they have. Bethany has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults. 

Bethany has a special interest in working with adolescent mental health, depression, anxiety, complex trauma, gender-affirming care, personality disorders, eating disorders, and perinatal mental health. Bethany believes in providing a collaborative and strengths-based approach that is tailored to each individual's needs. Bethany works across a range of therapy modalities, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Schema Therapy. 

Bethany also provides neuropsychological assessments across the lifespan and co-facilitates group-based therapy interventions for children and teens.

Chloe is a registered provisional psychologist and is currently completing her internship at Uniquely You Psychology. Chloe will be seeing children, adolescents and adults under the supervision of Sky Steele (Clinical Psychologist and practise owner).

Chloe has a strong interest in the connection between the mind and body and thinks it's important to work with a trauma-informed approach in therapy.

​Branka Veleski is a registered psychologist who has been working with adults, couples and adolescents for almost 20 years in the Illawarra region.

Branka has a keen interest in working with a wide range of clients and feels comfortable assisting clients with a range of presenting concerns and mental health issues, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, self-esteem, anger management, stress management, grief and bereavement, work related, school and career and relationships.

Branka works effectively in the Solution Focused Brief Therapy model and employs a range of evidenced-based treatments including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Motivational Interviewing.

Olga is a Registered Psychologist who is experienced working with a range of clients including adults, adolescents and couples.

Sasha (she/her) is a provisionally registered psychologist with experience in both educational and clinical settings. She brings a wealth of knowledge to the Uniquely You team.

Sasha is a compassionate clinician that strives to create a safe space for her clients to share and grow. She has a collaborative and individualised approach to addressing areas of concern and utilises evidence-based therapeutic techniques to help her clients reach positive outcomes. Sasha enjoys working with a diverse range of presentations with people from across the life span, but is particularly interested in working with children and adolescents, especially around school issues and learning.

Shaun has been working and studying as a Nutritionist for over ten years. He has completed an Advanced Diploma of Nutrition and a Health Science (Nutritional Medicine) degree. He is currently studying Naturopathy which he will complete next May. Shaun has a specific interest in Nutritional Biochemistry – put simply it is where the vitamins, minerals and other nutrients fit into the biochemical pathways throughout your body to make things work! Shaun works with children, adolescents, adults and families to provide advice on matters relating to food and how it impacts our physical, mental and gut health! As a Nutritionist, Shaun can design an individualised treatment plan that meets your specific needs. Shaun has an interest in mental health and believes each client has their own unique nutritional needs specific to them and their makeup. Shaun believes food IS medicine and looks forward to supporting you on your journey to become a healthier you.

 Michelle Mendez (she/her) is a Provisionally Registered Psychologist currently studying a Master of Psychology (Clinical) at Western Sydney University. Michelle works with children, adolescents and adults.

Michelle’s therapeutic approach is collaborative, trauma-informed, person-centred and evidence based. Michelle acknowledges that our unique human experiences bring a range of difficulties, strengths, and needs. Michelle believes that a strong and genuine therapeutic connection is fundamental when working with clients to achieve their therapeutic goals. Therefore, Michelle works hard to ensure that clients feel safe, supported, understood, and validated.

Michelle has an interest in working across a range of presentations such as, depression, anxiety, trauma and stressor related disorders, and body image concerns.

Poppy is a counsellor, preschool teacher, and ethics teacher who enjoys working with children, adolescents, and adults. She has a special interest in working with people who have experienced trauma, as well as those who want to make behavioral changes in their lives due to addictions, OCD, depression, anxiety, or dysfunctional life patterns. Poppy is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy/Positive CBT, including coping therapies, mindset therapies, solution-focused therapies, motivation therapies, as well as more traditional CBT.

Poppy's focus is to help people make healthy changes in their lives so that they can be the best version of themselves and live an enjoyable life. She believes it's a beautiful thing to see people empowered and make changes within themselves to improve their lives and well-being, allowing them to be happy and free.

Jae is a Registered Psychologist. Teddy is a therapy puppy in training and is in every psychology session with her. Together, Jae and Teddy see children, teenagers and adults. Teddy is knee height and a ball of fluff. He is not an intimidating dog, but if you or your child has a severe dog phobia, we’d recommend seeing someone else.
 

Jae is down to earth and relaxed. She takes a neurodiversity affirming approach and offers neurodiversity affirming assessments. She had a life before becoming a psychologist and has a range of experience in the real world. Her superpower is her ability to connect with people and help them feel safe. Jae works with people experiencing a range of issues including anxiety, depression and the impacts of trauma. Jae also has a special interest in neurodivergence, including autism (ASD), ADHD, ODD, and all those letters of the alphabet. When working with children, Jae prefers to work collaboratively where possible – talking to teachers, parents and other professionals involved with the child.
 

Jae has done a bunch of training after university and is always learning. She incorporates evidence-based practice with emerging therapeutic approaches. Since registration as a psychologist Jae has studied somatic psychotherapy, sensorimotor psychotherapy, somatic experiencing, internal family systems, movement for trauma and lots more.

Christopher (He/Him) is a registered counsellor who works with individuals across all ages,
however, he has a particular interest in working with children, adolescents and young adults.

Christopher also works with a variety of different problems such as general life struggles and
stresses, anxiety, depression, and emotional regulation issues.

When working with clients, Christopher ensures a compassionate and supportive
environment, regardless of the stage of life the individual is in and the problems they may be
facing. Christopher believes in the importance of viewing the problem as the problem and
separate to the individual with the goal of enabling the individual to introduce self-
compassion while tackling the problems they face.

While Christopher typically works with a strengths-based approach, he can also offer support

Practise Manager, Therapy Dog Trainer and Therapy Assistant

Sherri is our practise manager and the go to person for most things in the clinic. She is also our onsite dog handler and dog trainer and mum to our beautiful Therapy Dog Bear. Sherri is a mum of four children, three of them diagnosed on the Autism Spectrum. Her passion is working with people to support them and let them know they are not alone on this life journey. She also has a specific interest in working with animals to improve the lives of others.

Sherri is involved in more alternative supports within our practise including; support groups for mums and people experiencing mental health issues, walk and talk groups and will be joining us with Bear in future groups, workshops and retreats.
